Jazz, Metal, Funk, Ambience, Experimentation and a little bit of Madness.....These are the ingredients that make up the improv band Snarling Adjective Convention. SAC features my brother William Kopecky (Kopecky, Far Corner, Par Lindh, Yeti Rain) on basses, Roger Ebner (Yeti Rain) on wind synth and sax, Craig Walkner (Far Corner) on drums and Dr. Dan Maske (Far corner) on keys, flute, trumpet and percussion. Sophie Kopecky also performs dark poetry recitals written by William.

Blood is the latest release from KOPECKY. While stripping down to just guitar, drums and bass, the superb musicianship, composition and production, make this our best CD yet! Blood was released on Canada's Unicorn Digital label.

By blending complex arrangements with hauntingly beautiful keyboards and sitar, Sunset Gun stands out as a true progressive masterpiece. This one was mastered by Trevor Sadler, who has worked with Nine Inch Nails and Rush. This was the first CD I recorded with my Axtra 7 string guitar. Sunset Gun was released on France's Musea Records.

This CD was recorded live at Orion Sound Studios in Baltimore as part of their Progressive Rock Showcase series. My brothers and I enjoyed performing for the very attentive, respectful and prog-minded audience. This dark concert consists mostly of material from our first two CD’s. Our opening track, "Temptation's Screaming-Ground", later appears on our 2003 release Sunset Gun. Orion was released on M.A.C.E. Music which is owned by guitar virtuoso Michael Angelo Batio.

Our sophomore CD, Serpentine Kaleidoscope, was released worldwide by the British label Cyclops Records. This CD has a dark and heavy sound, mixed with mystique and melody. The sound quality, composition, and musicianship on this disc made a huge leap forward from our debut. This recording highlights how well my brothers and I began to hone our writing skills. Brother William did an excellent job on the paintings for the cover and booklet artwork.

This was Kopecky's debut CD. The first pressing was released in Europe by Italy's Mellow Records. A few months after that we self-released it in the States. This CD really helped define the Kopecky sound: heavy, dreamy, complex, middle-eastern flavored instrumental progressive rock.

NASTY HABIT was a groovy, commercial rock band I was in before forming KOPECKY. We released Lick the Groove in early 1994. Although this may be the opposite of prog, our live shows were full of staccato scales, tapping riffs and high energy.
